Lead Shielding From 1/16" to 2" Thick

Industrial X-ray applications can require dramatically different levels of radiation shielding.

FDA's cabinet X-ray performance standard is contained in 21 CFR 1020.40.

Among other requirements, the standard limits radiation emitted from a cabinet X-ray system to 0.5 milliroentgen in one hour measured 5 cm from the external surface under the prescribed test conditions. It also establishes requirements for features including doors, interlocks, indicators, warning labels, ports, apertures and instructions.
