Lead-Lined Cylindrical Door Locks
Maintain a safe environment in your medical or industrial facility with a lead-lined cylindrical lockset. These door locks prevent harmful radiation from X-ray machines and other equipment from escaping through the door mechanism. As such, lead-lined locks are suitable for a number of environments such as general X-ray radiology rooms, CT and PET scan rooms, dental X-ray rooms, and more.
Lead-lined cylindrical door locks offer advanced protection to staff and patients as the lead within blocks any radiation from passing through to external areas of your facility. Lead is an excellent shielding material and incredibly enduring thanks to its resistance to corrosion, heat, and radiation damage.
Cylindrical Lockset Specifications
- Lead Thickness: 1/16" Lead Lining - Other thicknesses are available upon request
- Dimensions: Suitable for standard door thicknesses of 1 ⅝” - 2 ⅛”. Cylindrical locksets require standard 161 prep and a backset of 2 3/4”.
- High-Security Key System: Keyed locksets use the enhanced security of the Schlage 6-pin Everest C123 keyway standard.
- Elegant Style: Cylindrical door locks feature a satin chrome finish and Rhodes/Saturn style lever. The lock chassis and levers are zinc-plated to add corrosion resistance with solid brass roses.
- High Durability: Schlage ND Locksets are Grade 1, rated for 800,000 cycles, and suitable for high-traffic areas. Schlage ALX Locksets are Grade 2, rated for 400,000 cycles, and suitable for medium-traffic areas.
- Compliance: All locksets meet or exceed ANSI regulations A156.2, A117.1, federal regulation FF-H-106C Series 161, and state mandates for fire safety and hurricane resistance.

Considerations
- Safety Features: All cylindrical lockset models allow for immediate exit in the case of an emergency. Push-button locking systems offer emergency access on the outside while key-locking systems leave the inside lever free for immediate exit.
- Terms & Conditions: You may not change or cancel an order once it has been placed. You must inspect your order in the presence of the delivery driver upon receipt, report any issues such as damage to them, and contact us immediately.
- Safety Guidance: A radiation physicist must calculate the amount of shielding a facility requires and the customer must choose a lead equivalency that meets these requirements.
