What Are Fire Rated Insulated Glass Units?
Fire Rated Insulated Glass Units (IGUs) combine the energy efficiency of insulated glazing with the critical life-safety protection of fire-rated glass. These units are designed to withstand extreme heat, contain flames and smoke, and meet stringent building code requirements — all while offering thermal insulation, optional privacy, radiation shielding, and even bullet resistance.
At Lead Glass Pro, we specialize in custom FireLite® IGUs, using fire-rated, wire-free ceramic glass combined with a secondary pane tailored to your project needs. Our units are tested, certified, and built for performance in fire-rated walls, doors, and partitions.
